Duties

You will serve as a technical expert within the Fight Systems Branch (SPC2) of the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) program office leading development of Navy's Hypersonic Weapon System.

You will lead the technical execution and delivery of complex weapon system capabilities within an assigned Area of Responsibility by managing the efforts of contractors, laboratories, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

You will direct the translation of operational needs into rigorous technical specifications and actively manage the engineering requirements baseline throughout the acquisition lifecycle.

You will apply professional engineering and physical science principles to conduct technical trade studies, resolve complex hardware integration issues, and oversee test and evaluation activities to verify system performance.

You will develop and analyze integrated project schedules to forecast potential delays, identifying technical risks and aggressively driving mitigation plans to ensure on-time delivery.

You will support budget formulation and contracting strategies by developing detailed cost estimates, translating technical requirements into actionable procurement packages, and monitoring financial execution.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing engineering analysis, systems design, or technical project management to support the development, integration, testing, or delivery of complex hardware or technical capabilities. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
